Slide Laser Therapy A cutting edge tool in pain management and healing.

Learn More

An illustration of a blue and orange dog running alongside a smaller dog on wheels, with a stylized mountain and sun in the background, captures the whimsical spirit that veterinarians cherish in their playful patients.

Slide Our Class IV Therapeutic Cutting Edge MLS and Class IIIb Chatanooga Group lasers are very versatile tools and are not only utilized in the rehabilitation department but also by our general practitioners for a variety of conditions and post-surgery care. The Class IV laser differs from ‘low-level lasers’ or ‘cold lasers’ (Class III b lasers) in that it penetrates deeper into the affected tissue because it has a longer wavelength of light and has broader tissue coverage. Therapeutic lasers do not achieve energy ranges such as surgical cutting lasers. Class IV therapeutic lasers treat tissue through photo biostimulation, which is a process that uses light to stimulate components in cells to create chemical energy increasing the production of ATP, DNA, and oxygen for enhanced cell metabolism. Our Lasers A happy dog wearing protective goggles and a teal harness sits in front of a smiling vet. The vet, adorned with tattoos, wears a hat and sunglasses. They are seated on the floor in a room with a window and furniture in the background, creating an inviting atmosphere for their furry friend. Two veterinarians in black scrubs, wearing sunglasses, expertly use a device on a dog sporting goggles. The relaxed pup lies on the floor as sunlight streams through a window, casting light on the dedicated vets at work.

Slide Effects of Laser Therapy
  • Increases endorphin release, the feel-good hormone.
  • Improves blood flow and new vessel formation in tissues.
  • Blocks pain nerve fibers.
  • Enhances nerve regeneration.
  • Increases metabolic activity for healing.
  • Breaks down the damaging free radicals in the tissue.
  • Speeds all phases of wound healing.
  • Reduces swelling and edema in tissue.
  • Reduces bacterial growth.
A brown dog wearing yellow goggles lies on the floor as a veterinarian in the background works with equipment, possibly providing a treatment or grooming service. The setting appears to be indoors, with warm lighting adding to the cozy atmosphere.

Treatments & Uses

The treatments are quick (5-15 minutes) and painless. Most dogs really enjoy these sessions, completely relax, and love coming back for more because it makes them feel better.  We use our laser quite often for geriatric dogs with chronic arthritis to reduce their amount of oral pain medications. Other uses include:
  • Acupuncture point stimulation.
  • Skin and ear infections.
  • Arthritic joints.
  • Post-operative incision healing and swelling/edema reduction.
  • Pain management.
A minimalist design reminiscent of the calm and precision found in a veterinarian's practice, featuring a large, smooth blue curve overlapping a dark green background. The bold simplicity of the blue curve evokes trust and serenity, qualities vital to any vet's environment. A woman wearing sunglasses kneels beside a large poodle also wearing goggles, giving it a friendly pat. They are indoors, near exercise balls and a railing. The woman, who is clearly an animal-loving vet, smiles warmly as the dog sports a harness.
